Trading Blitz 81

Completed 4 Players Automated
Tournament Rules

Seeding
  • Players are admitted in order of registration, then placed into the bracket in a random order. This happens when the waiting room closes, or when the organizer starts the tournament manually.
  • Bracket size is determined by the number of registered players when the waiting room closes. A minimum of four players is needed to seed a tournament.
Match flow
  • Each match is a 30-second 1-v-1 trading challenge on an anonymous stock chart.
  • Both players are served the same chart and trade independently at their own pace.
  • Each player begins with a $500,000 account balance and tries to earn the most — or lose the least — to win the match.
  • If your account balance reaches $0, you go bust and immediately lose the match.
  • All open positions are automatically closed when the round timer expires, at the last price each player saw.
  • Matches are timed by the Trading Blitz server clock, not the timer in your browser. The two can differ slightly, so an order, a stop or limit order, or a Next Day click sent in the last second of a match may reach the server after the match has ended. If it does, it will not be processed. Using the server time ensures both players are treated equally. Orders and chart advances sent before the match timer starts are not processed.
  • Please practice in Solo mode before entering tournaments to become familiar with the controls.
  • Entry: Free

A trade means one complete position, opened and closed — including a position closed automatically when the timer expires.

Match invitations
  • When your round begins you are sent a match invitation and the system will pull you into a waiting screen.
  • Your match starts as soon as both players reach the waiting screen. Neither player sees the chart until both are connected.
  • If both players have not connected within 30 seconds, the invitation is re-sent. After three attempts the match is resolved without being played.
Disconnects and forfeits
  • Your trades are recorded as you make them. If you disconnect after your match has started, your trades are kept and the match continues until the timer expires. When the timer expires the match is decided by the rules above, whether or not both players are still connected.
  • If you reconnect before the timer expires, you can carry on trading.
  • If a match never starts because only one player connected, the connected player advances and the other forfeits.
  • If a match never starts because neither player connected, both forfeit. In a final match, the tournament ends with no champion.
  • If a player's account is deleted during a match, the other player advances.
