How Solo Mode Works

How Solo Mode Works

Solo Mode is the core practice environment in Trading Blitz. It lets you load random historical stock charts, place virtual trades, and track your performance over time — all at your own pace, with no opponent and no time limit.

If you are new to Trading Blitz, Solo Mode is where you should start. It is the best way to build chart-reading habits and pattern recognition before stepping into head-to-head competition.

How to Start a Solo Mode Session

  1. Log in to your Trading Blitz account.
  2. From your dashboard, click Solo Mode.
  3. A randomly selected historical stock chart will load.
  4. Analyze the chart and place your trade — Buy, Sell (short), or skip the chart if the setup does not interest you.
  5. The chart plays forward and your result is recorded.
  6. Click Next Chart to load another.

There is no time limit in Solo Mode. Take as long as you need on each chart.

The Anonymous Chart

Every chart in the simulator shows real historical price data, but the ticker symbols and dates are always hidden. You will never know which stock or time period you are looking at. This removes name bias and forces you to make decisions based purely on price action.

Your Virtual Balance

You start Solo Mode with a virtual balance of $100,000. No real money is involved. Your balance updates after each trade based on your result. If your balance falls below $25,000, you can reset it at any time from your account settings.

How Your Results Are Tracked

Trading Blitz records every trade automatically. After each chart, your stats are updated including:

  • Win rate — percentage of trades you closed profitably
  • Profit factor — gross profit divided by gross loss
  • Average win and average loss
  • Average hold period

Chart Filters (Premium)

By default, Solo Mode serves you charts from a random selection of stocks across all market conditions. Premium members can apply chart filters to narrow the chart pool by market cap, volume, and specific price patterns—useful if you are working on a particular setup or strategy. Solo Mode vs. Two-Player Mode

Solo mode is your practice environment. Two-Player mode is the competition. Build your skills in Solo mode, then test yourself head-to-head when you feel ready. Learn how Two-Player Mode works.
