Some Trading Blitz prize tournaments offer real cash prizes and free Premium memberships to top finishers. Before any prize can be paid out, winners must complete a verification process. Here is how the entire prize flow works from winning to payment.
Step 1 — Win a Prize Tournament
Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in a prize tournament — typically 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The specific prize amounts for each tournament are announced before or at the start of the event.
Step 2 — Receive a Prize Notification
After the tournament concludes, winners receive an email notification from Trading Blitz with instructions on how to claim their prize. The notification will direct you to your Prize Claim page.
Step 3 — Complete Identity Verification (Stripe Identity)
To receive a cash prize, winners must verify their identity using Stripe Identity, a secure identity verification service. This is a legal requirement for prize disbursement.
On your Prize Claim page, you will find a prompt to begin the verification process. Stripe Identity will ask you to submit a government-issued photo ID. The verification is handled entirely by Stripe — Trading Blitz does not store your ID documents.
Verification statuses:
- Pending — verification is in progress
- Verified — identity confirmed, you may proceed to the next step
- Failed — verification was not successful; you will receive instructions on how to retry
Step 4 — Submit Your Tax Document
After identity verification, winners must submit a tax document before prizes can be paid:
- U.S. residents: Complete and upload a W-9 form
- International winners: Complete and upload a W-8BEN form
Blank versions of both forms are available for download directly from your Prize Claim page. Upload your completed form as a PDF, JPG, or PNG (maximum 10MB). Your document will be reviewed by the Trading Blitz team.
Step 5 — Provide Your PayPal Email
Cash prizes are paid via PayPal. Enter your PayPal email address on your Prize Claim page. You can update this at any time from Settings → Prize & Payment.
Step 6 — Prize Disbursement
Once your identity is verified, tax document is approved, and PayPal email is on file, your prize will be disbursed. Please allow up to 48 hours for prizes to be paid out after all requirements are met.
Prize Eligibility by Location
Due to legal and regulatory requirements, players from certain U.S. states and international jurisdictions may not be eligible to receive cash prizes. Prize eligibility is determined automatically based on your location at the time you register for the tournament.
Players from restricted jurisdictions can still compete in all tournaments — they are simply not eligible to claim cash prizes if they win. See the full tournament rules and eligibility article for more information.
