Two-Player mode is Trading Blitz's head-to-head competition format. You and an opponent are served the exact same anonymous historical stock chart and each have 90 seconds to trade it. Whoever performs better on that chart wins the match.
It's like playing Solo mode, but your ego is on the line ... and, the clock is ticking down.
Requirements
To participate in Two-Player mode (including tournaments), your virtual account balance must be greater than $75,000. This provides an incentive to trade responsibly. Each Challenge match has a $1,000 fee. Don't worry, it comes out of your virtual account balance. The winner takes the prize pot ($2,000).
How to Start a Challenge
There are three ways to enter a Two-Player match:
Option 1 — Challenge Queue:
- Open your Dashboard and click the Challenge button
- This will enter you into the Challenge queue.
- If another player joins the queue or sends you a direct Challenge, you will be matched.
- You'll be redirected to the simulator and you'll both served the same chart simultaneously
Option 2 — Direct Challenge a specific trader:
- Open the Leaderboard and find a trader you want to challenge (Tip - search the Online tab).
- Click Challenge next to the user you want to challenge.
- If they accept, the match begins and you're both served the same chart simultaneously.
Option 3 — Another trader challenges you:
- When another trader challenges you, you'll receive a notification.
- Click Join Game to accept or Reject to decline.
- Once you accept, the chart loads and the 90-second clock starts.
The 90-Second Clock
Once the match begins, both players are looking at the same chart — but neither can see what the other is doing. You have 90 seconds to analyze the setup, trade, and manage your position.
When the timer runs out, both results are revealed and compared. The trader with the higher return on that chart wins the match.
Think of it like a penalty shootout — same conditions, same chart, better trader wins.
Entry Fees
Both players put up a virtual entry fee before the match. The winner takes the pot. Entry fees are paid in virtual currency — no real money changes hands.
What Happens If Your Opponent Doesn't Accept?
If a challenge goes unanswered, it will expire automatically after a set period. You won't be charged the entry fee for an expired challenge.
How Results Are Recorded
Two-Player performance is recorded in the Leaderboards in the form of % of matches won. The statistics on your Dashboard are from activity when you are in Solo mode.
Tips for Two-Player Mode
- Don't overthink it. Ninety seconds sounds short, but if you've put in time in Solo Mode, your pattern recognition will kick in faster than you expect.
- Manage your position size. A reckless overleveraged bet might pay off once, but it's not a repeatable edge.
- Use Two-Player Mode to simulate the emotional side of trading. Knowing someone else is trading the same chart against you tends to sharpen your focus and heighten your emotions. Pay attention to your emotional state in Two-Player mode.
