You sent a challenge. Now you're waiting. Here is exactly what happens if your opponent doesn't respond — and what it means for your balance and stats.
Challenge Expiration
Every challenge has an expiration window. If your opponent does not accept or decline within that time, the challenge expires automatically and you'll receive a notification when this happens.
An expired challenge is not counted as a win or a loss for either player. It simply disappears.
What Happens to the Entry Fee?
The $1,000 virtual entry fee is only deducted from your Solo balance when both players have accepted and the match begins. If your opponent does not accept and the challenge expires, no entry fee is charged to either player.
Your Solo balance is not affected by expired or declined challenges.
What If Your Opponent Declines?
If your opponent actively declines the challenge, the same rules apply — the challenge closes immediately, no entry fee is deducted, and neither player's stats are affected.
Can You Cancel a Challenge You Sent?
Yes. If you change your mind after sending a challenge, you can cancel it before your opponent accepts. Go to your active challenges and select Cancel Challenge. As long as the match has not started, no entry fee will be charged.
Solo Balance Eligibility Reminder
To send or accept a challenge, your Solo balance must be above $75,000. If your balance has fallen below that threshold, you will not be able to enter Two-Player matches until you build it back up through Solo Mode. Learn how your account balances work.
